जय लक्षमण जी ( Jai Laxman Ji )

बंदउँ लछिमन पद जलजाता। सीतल सुभग भगत सुख दाता।।
रघुपति कीरति बिमल पताका। दंड समान भयउ जस जाका।।
सेष सहस्त्रसीस जग कारन। जो अवतरेउ भूमि भय टारन।।
सदा सो सानुकूल रह मो पर। कृपासिंधु सौमित्रि गुनाकर।।

 

लक्ष्मण जी भगवान् शेषनाग का अवतार थे | राजा दशरथ व सुमित्रा जी के तीसरे पुत्र थे | राम जी के वनवास से भी अधिक कठिन वनवास का उन्होंने पालन किया क्यूंकि वे राम जी के अनन्य भक्त थे | रामजी एवं माता सीता को माता पिता तुल्य मैंने वाले लक्षमण जी स्वभाव से क्रोधी भी थे ऐसा श्री राम कथा के बहुत से प्रसंगो में देखने को मिलता है चाहे वह सीता स्यंवर का प्रसंग हो या भरत जी का वन में राम जी से मिलने आने का प्रसंग |  राम कथा मैं लक्ष्मण जी सदा एक शिशु की भांति राम जी के चरणों को पकडे रहे और सेवा व् वीरता के अनेक उदाहरण भी प्रस्तुत किये | 

Shatrughna reached Ayodhya by enthroning his sons in Mathura at the time of the arrival of Lord Rama. Coming to Shri Rama and bowing at his feet, he said in a polite manner - 'Lord! I came here only after having coronated my two sons and decided to go with you. Now allow me to walk with you by not giving me any other command. 'Lord Shri Ram accepted Shatrughan's prayer and he came to Saket along with Shri Ramchandra.

 

जहाँ इंद्र को जितने वाले मेघनाद को परास्त किया वहीँ लक्ष्मण रेखा खींच कर दर्शाया की मर्यादा को लांघने का परिणाम क्या हो सकता है | भगवान् राम जी के सम्मान के लिए ही वह भगवान् परशुराम से भी टकरा गए थे | उन्होंने केवल भगवान् राम की सेवा के लिए अपने सुख चैन बंधू बांधव यहाँ तक की अपनी पत्नी को भी त्याग कर १४ वर्ष का वनवास स्वीकार किया | वनवास मैं भी वह  कभी नहीं सोये उन्होने अपनी पत्नी उर्मिला जी को अपनी नींद का भागिदार बना लिया ताकि प्रभु सेवा मैं कोई विघ्न ना आये |
Where Indra defeated the Meghnad, while drawing the line Lakshman showed what could be the result of breaching dignity. He had also clashed with Lord Parashurama to honor Lord Rama. He accepted his exile for 16 years only by sacrificing his happiness in bondage and even leaving his wife for the service of Lord Rama. He never slept in exile, he made his wife Urmila ji a part of his sleep so that there would be no disturbance in the service of God.

 

 

रावण वध पश्चात अगस्त्य मुनि ने श्री राम से कहा कि चाहे रावण और कुंभकर्ण प्रचंड वीर थे आपने उन्हें मारा । परन्तु लक्ष्मण ने इंद्रजीत का वध किया। इसलिए वे सबसे बड़े योद्धा हुए।अपने भाई की वीरता की प्रशंसा सुनकर श्री राम बेहद प्रसन्न हुए और उत्सुकता से उन्होंने ने अगस्त्य मुनि से पूछा कि इंद्रजीत का वध रावण से ज्यादा मुश्किल कैसे था?

After Ravana's slaughter, Agastya Muni told Shri Rama that whether Ravana and Kumbhakarna were fierce heroes, you killed them. But Lakshman killed Indrajit. Hence he became the greatest warrior. Shri Rama was very pleased to hear the praise of his brother's valor and eagerly asked Agastya Muni how Indrajit's slaughter was more difficult than Ravana?

 

श्री राम की उत्सुकता को शांत करने के लिए अगस्त्य मुनि ने श्री राम को बताया कि इंद्रजीत को वरदान था कि उसका वध वही कर सकता था, जो चौदह वर्षों तक न सोया हो, जिसने चौदह साल तक किसी स्त्री का मुख न देखा हो| सुलोचना वासुकी नाग की पुत्री और लंका के राजा रावण के पुत्र मेघनाद की पत्नी थी। शेषनाग के अतिरिक्त कोई और मेघनाद के बाणों को सह नहीं सकता था क्यूंकि सुलोचना के सतीत्व के कारन मेघनाद के पास बहुत शक्तियां थीं | शेषनाग वासुकि के ही बड़े भाई है जो पाताललोक का राज त्याग कर भगवान् विष्णु की सेवा में चले गए थे तथा वासुकि उनके जाने के पश्चात पाताललोक के राजा बने थे | 

To calm Sri Rama's eagerness, Agastya Muni told Shri Rama that Indrajit had a boon that he could slaughter him who had not slept for fourteen years, who had not seen the face of a woman for fourteen years. Sulochana was the daughter of Vasuki Nag and the wife of Meghnad, son of King Ravana of Lanka. Apart from Sheshnag, no one else could bear Meghnad's arrows because Meghnad had many powers due to Sulochana's sattva. Sheshnag is the elder brother of Vasuki who renounced the kingdom of Patalalok and went to the service of Lord Vishnu and Vasuki became the king of Patalalok after his departure.

यह सुनकर श्री राम बोले वनवास के समय मैं नियमित रूप से लक्ष्मण को उनके हिस्से के फल-फूल देता रहा हूँ। मैं सीता के साथ एक कुटी में रहता था, बगल की कुटी में लक्ष्मण थे, फिर सीता का मुख भी न देखा हो, और चौदह वर्षों तक सोए न हों, ऐसा कैसे संभव है?
अगस्त्य मुनि श्री राम की बात सुनकर मुस्कुराए और कहा क्यों न लक्ष्मणजी से पूछा जाए।

Hearing this, Shri Ram said that during exile, I have been giving flowers to Laxman regularly. I lived in a cottage with Sita, there were Lakshmana in the adjacent cottage, then I have not even seen the face of Sita, and have not slept for fourteen years, how is this possible? Agastya Muni smiled after listening to Shri Ram and said why not ask Lakshmanji.

अपने प्रश्नों के उत्तर जानने के लिए श्री राम ने लक्ष्मण जी को बुलाया और कहा कि हम तीनों चौदह वर्षों तक साथ रहे, फिर तुमने सीता का मुख कैसे नहीं देखा? फल दिए गए फिर भी अनाहारी कैसे रहे और 14 साल तक बिना सोये कैसे रहे?

लक्ष्मण जी ने श्री राम को बताया कि मैंने कभी सीता माँ के चरणों के ऊपर देखा ही नही। आपको स्मरण होगा जब सुग्रीव ने हमें सीता माँ के आभूषण दिखाकर पहचानने को कहा तो मैं उनके पैरों के आभूषण के सिवाय कोई और आभूषण नही पहचान पाया था। भगवान श्रीराम ने लक्ष्मणजी की तपस्या के बारे में सुनकर उन्हें ह्रदय से लगा लिया।

भगवान् लक्षमण जी की अटूट अनन्य भक्ति व सेवा को कोटि कोटि प्रणाम |

To know the answer to his questions, Shri Ram called Lakshman ji and said that the three of us stayed together for fourteen years, then how did you not see the face of Sita? Despite the fruits, how did Anahari live and how could he remain asleep for 14 years?

 

Laxman ji told Shri Rama that I never looked at the feet of Mother Sita. You will remember when Sugriva asked us to identify Sita Ma's ornaments by showing them, then I could not identify any ornaments except her feet ornaments. Hearing about the penance of Lakshmanaji, Lord Shri Ram took him to heart.
